Deleting My Posts

So – For Some reason WordPress felt the need to delete one of my posts without my knowledge.  I wonder how many other times the has occurred.  I have head of this from other writers and though there is no way that this can happen, they must be exaggerating.  I apologize to you now.  So very, very sorry and I am truly considering a move from Worpress now. But that would involve moving all 5 of my blogs to a new platform and I am not sure I really want to do that at this time.  I was just starting to get into the groove of writing again and you go and slap my in the face like this.

I can’t even at this point.  I am not in the mood to write a post ranting about it.  I feel broken and hurt.  So if my 3 posts about the amazing tea manage to stay up for more than a moment – then please stay tuned for some more exciting tid bits about Wild Foods Co and their amazing yummy teas.

Petsmart Groomers – Talk About Sensory Overload…

So – my husband and I thought we would try getting our boxer’s nails trimmed at Petsmart.  Reasons for this:  Dozer HATES getting his nails trimmed and will fight me, and just get very upset when I try to trim his nails.  Tuula is just plain hyper sometimes and I don’t want to hurt her and then cause her to hate it like Dozer does.

We were getting her nails trimmed by the vet when she was going in for her shots, Dozer would get his done while he was there for anything major.  But I looked it up on Petsmarts webpage and it was not bad priced and done as a walk in.  My first clue that this was going to be a bad idea was the condition of the area where they trim all the hair.  There was so my hair floating around the room that I instantly wanted to leave.  Then the nice girl who checked us in had some Emo blonde who acted like she was way better than I was as a human being – but she decided that taking Tuula’s leash off her harness and putting a loop around her neck was a good idea.  Other than her collar when we first got her – my dogs don’t wear collars so this was not an idea that she was liking from the get go.

She has never been taken from us (other than at the vet and they usually pick her up because she is still smaller) so she was not happy about walking with this stranger.  But she went with her and they sat down on the floor with her and attempted to trim her nails – I then got almost “scolded” because her nails were so short to begin with and since they are clear we would be able to trim them on our own.  “Next time we should do a nail grinding instead of a trim.”  Oh really, you think she is gonna let you get near her with that?   Needless to say, my poor husband was in sensory overload and so was poor miss Tuula.  We got her a toy, grabbed a bag of dog food, paid the $9 for them to trim her nails (missing like at least 3 of her nails) and we got the heck out of there.

So, will we be taking our dogs back there for anything – umm no.  Will I still buy food and toys for them there – yes.  Our poor Tuula, she went to sleep with not real peeps out of her last night, we did have to put her in her kennel for a little bit when we got home.  Her and Dozer decided to play romper room in the kitchen and knocked over their very full water bowl.  BUT – since we pulled the fridge out to clean up the water – hubby decked to dust behind there and vacuum the coil and fan on the back of the fridge – so not over all a bad thing.

After her little “reset” she was back to her sweet self.  6 and a half months old and 39lbs!  She is getting so big!

Got Power? **UPDATE**

So – my husband and I are trying to get our house on the market to sell – hence why I have not been writing as much.  So of course as Murphy’s law has it, our house has tried to kill us yet again.  Last Thursday night while I was running a load of laundry through the dryer and watching a little TV, we lost power to about 80% of the house.  We have the living room, most of our bed room, AC (thank god) and the washer. The dryer wouldn’t run, but the light inside it was still on, strange right!  We quickly ran outside to look at the breakers and couldn’t see anything so we turned them all off and back on – still nothing.  But we did smell something very hot and saw a little smoke when we went to the large main box and flipped all of those as well – still nothing.  So we ran an extension cord to the fridge and turned off all the remaining lights that were not mission critical.

I then began the frustrating task of looking up electricians on google and calling them at 8:30pm.  After about 50 calls at about 10pm at night, I gave up and went to bed.  I started again in the morning by using a service called Networx where you give them your zip code and what you need help with.  They fax/email it to companies and then the companies call you.  You get an email with the list of who they sent the information to as well.  A few companies that I had left voice mails with called me back, but mostly no one was willing to help me or unable to help me in a timely manner.  Giving me a 4 hour window almost 24hrs after I called you is not what I call service – but I digress.

So I get a call from a very nice man who worked for a father and son local company…I like the local small shops – they are my kind of peeps.  So I told him what had happened and he said he would check on the schedule and call me back.  I had already heard this about 20 times with no follow through, but I gave the guy some faith.  In a matter of about 10 mins he called me back and said he had moved some things around and would have a guy out to me by 10 am (2 hours from time of call) AMAZING!  I told him how much I appreciated it. Their tech was there a few mins early even, I told him what had happened and he instantly had an idea of what the issue was.

So off to the main panel he went with all of his testers.  A few mins later, the remaining power went out (but I still had AC, it was well over 105F where I live that day) He knocked on the door and let me know that he had found the issue, he took me out to the panel to show me.  One of our large breakers (that I found out wasn’t even the correct one for that panel) had began to eat itself.  It had gotten very hot and had started to sizzle and melt.  Fun times right!


It appears that back in like 2007 when we had a bolt of lightning hit our house it had taken out that same breaker, the repair that had been done was more of a temporary fix since they used an incorrect breaker and it had reached the end of its life.  The tech who was now standing at our power box told me that he would go and try to find the correct breaker for our unit, since it was an older box it might take he a little while, but since I still had AC I was OK.  I just had to make sure I stayed out of the fridge.  He took off and was back in about an hour with the correct part.  I turned off everything I could inside the house and we flipped all the smaller breakers off.  He replaced the breaker, and we slowly started to switch everything back on and he tested all of the breakers for me.  We then went inside and he checked the dryer and all the other outlets in the house.  Everything looked good.

He went out to his truck to write up the bill, he then came inside and like a little kid with a bad report card, told me the bill was a little high.  I sighed to myself, I knew this was coming.  I already had my check book out ready to cry.  He then told me the bill was only a little over $200 and that he had given me a discount for being an Angie’s list member.  SCORE!  That was not near as bad as I was expecting.  I told him I had already planned on about $500 – and he said NONONO…..    So I will be using them again you can be sure of that!

To all the other companies who didn’t bother to return my calls – or waited almost 2 days to call me back – BOOOOO!  Good customer service is my #1 requirement.  At least call me back, I left a lot of voice mails, all of which were me on the verge of frustrated tears because no one seems to care anymore.  All except one company – who I have already referred two other people to AND posted them up on my FB page.  Bravo!!

**Update** 12/20/15 I received a Christmas type postcard from the company who did all the repair work on our house with a coupon code for future work that is good till like April of 2016!!  Can I just say again – AMAZING JOB!

– I apparently didn’t get my review done fast enough for the people at Aveeno’s CrowdTap department – because they flagged me.  You know I take it very personal that they would do that.  I understand that there is a time frame on these free samples, but when you give me a date to get them done BY – then I am going to do the review on that last day – so I can give the product a chance to work and show me what it is all about.  To flag me on the day that it is due is not good product practice.  I will have to think long and hard before I buy their product.

Also their sunscreen feels greasy and “balled” up while applying it to my face.  So if you are going to be cocky like that, you better have an outstanding product.

Follow up on “So Very Disappointed” post

SO to follow up on my post from 4/9/15  on my experience with the seller WineStuff on  Well I forgot to write my update last week when it arrived.  I got home from work to discover the huge box leaning against the house.  With an open (and hopeful) mind I took it inside and opened it.  It was just what I ordered!  About dang time – not like I ordered it on March 12, 2015 or anything.

So – my over all review of the product is still amazing, just like it was with the first one I ordered.  The seller on the other hand, even though they did make it up to me by letting me keep the shower caddy they sent me by mistake – I am still not impressed.  The whole beg for forgiveness rather than making it happen correctly the first time around is not how I like to do business.  Had it been EITHER late in shipping or the wrong item – but not BOTH – I might be a tad bit more understanding.  But you have 2 strikes with me now and that’s not good in my book.

So Very Disappointed…

I ordered an OXO Good Grips Double Flip in Hamper from Amazon thought a seller called WineStuff – and believe me when I tell you that I will not be ordering a single item though them ever again.  I placed me order on March 12, 2015

A few days later I got an email stating they had canceled the pick up from UPS.  OK fine, so I sent them an email asking if they had an ETA on 3/23/15.

3/24/15 (The day AFTER I was told I would get the item.)

We apologize, however, the item you ordered has not yet been restocked in our warehouse as anticipated within the time frame previously mentioned in our last email. We do anticipate the item back in stock within the next 1-2 weeks. At that time, we will immediately ship out to you. Now remember the order was placed on March 12th.  So I waited, and really I forgot about the order.  So yesterday I got home from work and found a very beat up box sitting outside our gate, like someone threw it out of the back of a van.  It had a plastic part hanging out of the corner of the box.  I didn’t remember ordering anything that could have something like that poking out of the box, but I took it inside to open it.



So I opened the box to find that they had shipped me a OXO stainless steel big bin shower caddy with my invoice that said OXO Good Grips Double Flip in Hamper on it.  At this point I am extremely disappointed, I sent them an email stating so and I am awaiting their response.  I highly recommend that if you place an order through, please make sure that the seller is NOT WineStuff.   From the photo below you can see the top part that is sticking out of the corner of the box in the picture above.



And below is a picture of the shower caddy with the invoice from the box.  I want to know who packed this – I am not even that upset that it took almost a month to get it – what I am upset about is that it took almost a month to GET THE WRONG ITEM – PACKED IN A BOX WITH THE INVOICE FOR THE CORRECT ITEM!




I just got an email form them:

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience! Would you like for us to ship the correct item or would you prefer a refund? Please let us know how it would be best to proceed or if there is anything else we can do!

So I sent them back stating I still need the correct item shipped.  They better not ask for the shower caddy back – LOL

***Update #2:

They sent me back an email letting me know to keep the caddy and they will send out the hamper as soon as they can.  So we shall see how well they make this up to me.  I am still disappointed but my opinion of them is getting better.    I will post an update if/when I get the correct item.

Update to “Weight Watchers Big Game Hosted Party” – Crowdtap

Well – the party pack didn’t show up till late Friday and I wasn’t about to go to the store and beat my way through the crowd of people who forgot to buy chips or what-have-yous…so I winged it with some health snacks.

I submitted photos as part of the WW mission on Crowdtap – but they were rejected for some reason.  I will prob never do a mission for them again.  I will never sign up and pay their outrageous prices – and I informed them of this in my report.
