So – after having nightmares about this other zombie Liv finally gets to see Blaine in his now zombie state.  But first she has a snack from a recently murdered local artist.  Clive is convinced that this guys wife is the killer.  But the evidence would say otherwise – or at least at first.  We all know by now that Liv takes on some personality quirks after she partakes in a little light snacking.  As she says in this episode she has developed a fear of pigeons, kleptomania….and now with this passionate artist’s personality she is one hell of a flirt.  She also can now paint, and to her ex-fiance’s amazement – LOVES jazz music.

When Dr Ravi walks in to find zombie #2 talking with Liv – he instantly wants samples and would like to run tests.  Ravi wants to cure this thing, and is excited about having another subject to get the needed samples from.  When Liv tells Blaine that he is the reason she is part of the un-dead club, he is very remorseful.  He cannot remember much from that night thanks to the bad batch of drugs.  We also learn that he was the drug dealer for this little gem, and in a later part of the episode we learn that it might have been cut with something that turned it into this zombie juice.

Blaine makes a plea to Liv asking her to hook a brother up with some brains.  Now I will be honest, I had for a fleeting moment thought that in a way – they might be able to help each other out.  They can talk about their current condition with each other – they can share a meal together.  And frankly, he is the only one she can have sex with without risking giving them “the Zombie”   But, when I say that he is still being harassed by the drug dealing punks, I thought well, there goes that idea.  And as it turns out, Liv had the same feelings about the matter.  She has lost some trust in Blaine.

Meanwhile Clive is trying to get information about the murder from Liv who is dealing with the flooding of passions that the artist had, but in the end Clive was right, and the murder was solved.   I don’t want to give away the entire episode, after all you should only be reading this if you have watched it already…. 🙂

Please leave your thoughts and feelings about the show in the comments section.  I cam very excited about this new show and hope they keep it.

iZombie – Episode 1 – Warning Spoilers

The CW has a new show called iZombie:

From:IMDB

Olivia “Liv” Moore was a disciplined, over-achieving medical resident who had her life path completely mapped out…until she is turned into a zombie. Now stuck somewhere between half-alive and undead, Liv loses her drive and ambition. She breaks off her engagement with charming soul mate Major, fearful of infecting him with her condition. Liv transfers her medical residency to the city morgue in order to access the only form of sustenance left available to her – the only thing that allows her to maintain her humanity – brains. There are side effects to Liv’s new diet: With each brain Liv consumes, she experiences “visions” – flashes of the corpse’s memories – which often provide clues as to how they were killed.

I think they are going to re-run the pilot tonight (Fri 3/20/15) – I watched it and really liked it so far.  Not the typical gross Zombies – I think the main Character is sarcastic and funny.  I hope they keep this series because I really like it so far – but we will have to see how far they can take it.  Even though she is a brain eating zombie, there really hasn’t been much gross stuff.  No spitting blood, no ripping open a head and pulling brains out.  As much as I loved the movie “Warm Bodies” I wish they would have left out some of the grossness.

The fact that they are using her “flashes” as a way to solve crimes was kind of a given when it comes to the plot, but I am ok with that in this case.  It was the direction that they wanted the show to go and they didn’t feel the need to hide it.  I think they should have advertised it a little better – I think I only saw one trailer for it.

Here is the Trailer for your viewing pleasure:
